Begin at the beginning.

You cannot build an application without having a reason for doing so. This chapter lays out the purpose and history of the Community for F#. We derive the features for the web applications from this purpose.

This chapter also provides a brief survey of all the tools available to F# web programmers. We chose a subset of the tools for the C4F# web application. This survey will serve to provide reasons for our selections. You may find that one or more of these tools is a better fit for you.
